…to Advance Patient Protection & Our Profession

We invite all Official Supporters to contribute to the Topics & Insights blog on our website. These helpful guidelines can help you draft a post that informs and inspires other physicians as we work together for patient protection.

  • Title: the ideal length for a PPP blog post title is 5 to 15 words.

  • Excerpt: write a brief summary of the post in 25 words or less.

  • Body Copy: ideally, the post should be in the range of 500 to 1,000 words. Shorter or longer posts are acceptable as determined by the subject. Try to avoid going over 2,500 words.

  • Image: If possible, share an image related to the post. This could be a headshot of the author, or a photo related to the subject matter. Be sure that you have the right to share any photos that you provide and that such sharing does not violate another party’s copyright.

  • Rights Management & Citations: In the post, make sure to place in quotes any material you copy from another website or publication that is protected by copyright, and be sure to cite the quotation. Include a URL for any material you source from another website. Quotations of copyright-protected content is permitted under fair use for purpose of commentary, satire, and education in non-profit use cases. However, such quotations should be limited.
