NP research: An example of questionable methodology used to promote FPA agenda

HIGHLIGHTS of our review of the study, ‘Value of Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Hospital Staffing’ with Dylan Golomb MD and Marsha Haley MD.

The authors of the study use questionable methodology (asking RNs to ‘estimate’ the number of NPs in their facilities) and then stretch results to argue for a variable that wasn’t even measured (independent practice).
