Help us KEEP THE TEAM in healthcare — Take Action Now!
Tennessee legislators are considering bills that would allow Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to work completely independent of physicians, breaking up the healthcare team. We believe every patient deserves physician-led care, and we believe that physician education is long and rigorous for a reason.
Tell Tennessee legislators to keep the team in healthcare.

Legislative Summary of Senate Bill 2110/House Bill 2203:
- Would give Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Anesthetists, and Nurse Widwives completely independent and unsupervised practice authority, with no physician involvement.
- Will remove physician collaboration as a requirement for Nurse Practitioners to treat patients, effectively breaking up the team in team-based care.
- Would change Tennessee’s system of healthcare by allowing Nurse Practitioners to practice without physician involvement, while the majority of other states still mandate team-based care with NPs and physicians working together.
If you would like to keep the team in your healthcare, and if you want to be able to keep your physician, please contact your legislators today.
THANK YOU.
