Dr. Purvi Parikh, a PPP board member, was included in a story on MedCity News about whether or not nurses should operate independently.
Dr. Parikh says in the piece: “The average nurse practitioner has only 5% of the clinical training that a brand new internal medicine doctor has or a brand new primary care doctor, [and] that doesn’t even account for you know, people who are in their specialties or people who are been practicing obviously for many years and have that luxury of experience.”
